The responsibility of the Dock Supervisor is to oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods while supervising as team. To ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock.
- Supervise and motivate dock and dispatch teams to meet productivity goals.
- Train staff, monitor performance, and address personnel issues.
- Encourage teamwork and conduct daily team meetings on operational updates and concerns.
- Anticipate, monitor, and ensure timely dispatch of routes and driver loads utilizing computerized systems such as Maven and TMW.
- Communicate effectively with manager, internal departments, customers, and staff.
- Ensure daily bills per hour (BPH) targets are met.
- Document and communicate freight damage or concerns on Linehaul loads.
- Keep dock organized to maintain safety and efficiency.
- Ensure health, safety, cleanliness, and security standards are upheld.
- Oversee planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, facilities, and equipment.
- Maintain attendance and reliability expectations for self and for all staff.
- Support and execute objectives set by the Terminal Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support terminal operations.

No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
No DUI/DWI in the last 12 months
No preventable DOT accidents in the last 12 months
No serious violations in the last 12 months
Must meet all DOT/FMCSA requirements
