$1,700 - $1,980 / week

Nussbaum Transportation is Hiring Flatbed Company Drivers

 

Job Details:

  • Irregular routes; majority of freight is in the Midwest
  • Hiring area includes portions of Illinois and Indiana; call for details.

 

Earning Potential & Pay Features:

  • Earn $95K+ your first year! (mileage, activity pay, sign-on bonus, etc.)
  • First-year flatbed drivers earn $1,700 - $1,980 per week
  • Earn $100K+ in year two and beyond!
  • $6,000 Sign-on Bonus!
    • $2,000 after your first load
    • $2,000 after 6 months
    • $2,000 after 12 months
  • $1,700 weekly guarantee. If your miles are short (delays, breakdowns, etc.) you'll still earn the guaranteed amount.
  • Increase your earning potential with tenure, Driver Scorecard, and Certified RED programs!
  • Door to door practical miles - empty & loaded
  • Paid Orientation at Nussbaum Headquarters - $200/day

 

Activity Pay for the WORK you do, not just the miles you run:

  • $30 for pickups and deliveries
  • $30 for stop-offs (any customer location in-between pickup and final delivery)
  • $70 for initial tarping; $35 for each re-tarping
  • $20/hr detention pay (starts after 1hr)
  • Breakdown & layover pay

 

Oversize Pay is ~$3,600/year! (based on avg. loads per flatbed driver). There are three tiers:

  • Tier 1: less than 10' wide = +$0.10/mile and $50 flat, per load
  • Tier 2: 10'-12' wide = +$0.15/mile and $75 flat, per load
  • Tier 3: >12' wide = +$0.20/mile and $100 flat, per load

 

Driver Benefits:

  • Home Time:
    • Weekly (Illinois, Western Indiana / Indianapolis)
    • Bi-weekly (Southern Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia)
    • Your Driver Hiring Manager will clearly explain your home-time options before offering you a position.

Driver Requirements:

  • Valid CDL A
  • Minimum age of 21
  • 6 months of recent experience OR complete our training program
  • No more than 3 moving violations in last 3 years
