Nussbaum Transportation is Hiring Flatbed Company Drivers
Job Details:
- Irregular routes; majority of freight is in the Midwest
- Hiring area includes portions of Illinois and Indiana; call for details.
Earning Potential & Pay Features:
- Earn $95K+ your first year! (mileage, activity pay, sign-on bonus, etc.)
- First-year flatbed drivers earn $1,700 - $1,980 per week
- Earn $100K+ in year two and beyond!
- $6,000 Sign-on Bonus!
- $2,000 after your first load
- $2,000 after 6 months
- $2,000 after 12 months
- $1,700 weekly guarantee. If your miles are short (delays, breakdowns, etc.) you'll still earn the guaranteed amount.
- Increase your earning potential with tenure, Driver Scorecard, and Certified RED programs!
- Door to door practical miles - empty & loaded
- Paid Orientation at Nussbaum Headquarters - $200/day
Activity Pay for the WORK you do, not just the miles you run:
- $30 for pickups and deliveries
- $30 for stop-offs (any customer location in-between pickup and final delivery)
- $70 for initial tarping; $35 for each re-tarping
- $20/hr detention pay (starts after 1hr)
- Breakdown & layover pay
Oversize Pay is ~$3,600/year! (based on avg. loads per flatbed driver). There are three tiers:
- Tier 1: less than 10' wide = +$0.10/mile and $50 flat, per load
- Tier 2: 10'-12' wide = +$0.15/mile and $75 flat, per load
- Tier 3: >12' wide = +$0.20/mile and $100 flat, per load

Driver Requirements:
- Valid CDL A
- Minimum age of 21
- 6 months of recent experience OR complete our training program
- No more than 3 moving violations in last 3 years
- Meet all other Nussbaum requirements
