Eagle Transport (0 Jobs)
Founded in 1969 and based in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Eagle Transport hires local and regional truck drivers to haul tanker trailers containing dry bulk and liquid bulk commodities such as petroleum, chemicals, biofuels, and oil. Operating out of 23 terminals east coast, the company uses chemical, petroleum, pneumatic, and liquefied natural gas trailers to handle its freight. Because of the specialized haul types truck drivers are responsible for at Eagle Transport, they must have their CDL-A, as well as hazmat and tanker endorsements. Truck drivers must also be willing to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential, also known as a TWIC card, to drive for Eagle Transport.
Eagle Transport Truck Driver Training
Safety is a top priority at Eagle Transport and permeates through every facet of the company. The company supports each truck driver and sets him or her up for a successful truck driving career hauling hazardous materials. Truck drivers receive on-the-job training with a Professional Transport Trainer that lasts about three weeks. At the end of the training, a Driver Trainer takes a final ride with the graduating truck drivers to ensure each driver understands the proper procedures for handling fuel or chemicals.
