Tanker truck driving involves driving trucks with a tank that is specialized for transporting liquefied loads. One of the most common types of tanker transport is petroleum products and some tanker driving jobs require a hazmat license. In addition, some involve driving a semi-trailer which would require a CDL Class A (versus a Class B for smaller tanker trucks). Tanker trucks usually involve local runs and normal hours. This allows for drivers to drive in familiar areas and be home every night.
