Inexperienced Driver Jobs

Drivers that are looking to get into the transportation industry have a great deal of resources at their disposal. While most employers require truck drivers to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), there are some non-CDL driver jobs. These jobs usually involve driving pickups and/or vans for transport. Some non CDL jobs, like being a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, allow drivers to use their own vehicles to make mail deliveries in their area.

While non CDL driving jobs do not require applicants to obtain a CDL, they usually require a clean driving record and several years of previous professional driving experience. Many companies have their own driver training programs that allow drivers to receive the proper training for the job. This can provide an opportunity to develop relationships with employees in the company and help gain an advantage over those who are previously trained. For those who would like to obtain their CDL, check out our Truck Driving Schools section to find CDL training programs from a variety of schools across the nation.
