Equipment Type Categories
A CDL, or Commercial Driver’s License, is a permit required to operate any combination of vehicles with a gross weight over 26,001 lbs. More specifically, the Class B driver’s license is required when driving a single vehicle with a gross weight over 26,001 lbs., or when driving this type of vehicle and towing another vehicle that is 10,000 or less pounds.
