Duties and Responsibilities:
- Possess a CDL Class A Driver’s License as required by each location
- Comply with Department of Transportation and in-house rules and regulations
- Complete a daily truck log as needed. All paperwork must be completed and returned at the end of the route.
- Pick up and deliver dairy products to and/or from customers
- Load and unload dairy products at the plant using a hand truck or dolly if needed
- Utilize GPS unit to calculate the most efficient and safest route, if needed
- Create a good relationship with customers, other drivers, and vendors
- Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle before driving on a route
- Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately; coordinate repairs as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit in a truck for the duration of a shift
- Must be able to push and/or pull up to 90 pounds and carry 50 pounds
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule which can include weekday, weekend and holiday hours
- Applicants must be able to read and write English.
Hours for both locations are defined and follow a consistent 5 day/week schedule.
