AmeriGas is Now Accepting Applications for CDL Transport Drivers in Pahrump, Nevada

As an AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange (ACE) Transport Driver you will deliver gas grill cylinders to AmeriGas Districts within assigned service area by tractor trailer truck.  You will be responsible for achieving delivery and repair objectives set forth by the Operations Manager.  You will also communicate daily with Operation Manager regarding work activities and may participate in tank refurbishing as customer needs dictate.

Responsibilities:

• Required to load and unload pallets of cylinders at the District and Production Facility with possible lay over to keep under DOT regulation hours. Tractor has Sleeper cab available
• Ensures personal compliance with safety codes and policies including the servicing and repair of company vehicles
• Participates in and completes all training as required
• Practices and reinforces superior customer service skills by providing courteous and efficient service to all customers
• Ensures that vehicle preventive maintenance schedules are being performed and adhered to
• Performs vehicle and cargo tank inspections as required

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 21 years old with a valid CDL with HazMat and Air Brake endorsements, and acceptable driving history
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions
• Ability to walk 1 to 3 miles, climb steps/ladders and carry multiple propane cylinders weighing up to 35lbs each
• Bending and climbing in and out of the truck
